The M-θrelationship of some beam-to-column connections, which are usuallyused in the engineering practice,is studied in the paper. The influence of connections onthe capacity of steel framework is studied also. There are some parts are included asfollowings:Firstly, the analysis model is built with the mari-displacement method,is used toanalysis the capacity and status of structures with influence of load on it.The element inthe structural stiffness matrix is proposed by transcendental function which is gotten fromthe deformation-rotation function.Secondly, with the result of simulational analyzed and experimental, the character ofthe connections, such as extended-end plate(EEP),welded-bolted beam-to-column(WBBC),up and bottom angle(UBA),web angle with up and bottom angle(WAUBA),isresearched. The ultimate moment capacity of these connections is discussed on thr base offormer research concultion, and the four-parameter function is provided to describe theconnections',such as UBA,WAUBA M-θrelationship curve as following:M=Mumlnf(1+Rki-Rp/mMuθ)+Rpθ,f=(1+Rki-Rp/Muθ1/n)15000Finally,the simulation analysis has been excusive on the base of M-θfunctionand with structural matrix which are provided in the paper, the general rule has beeninvestigated for the influence on the ultimate load-carrying capacities of steel frame work. The methods which can be used to judge the capacity of joint in engineering practiceframework simply is provided, and the four-parameter M-θfunction which can be usedin design practice is provided in the paper also. The results of the M-θrelationship ofsome beam-to-column connects analyzed by methods which are presented in this paper areclose to that by experimental methods.
