In the steel structure project, the connection of the nodes are semi rigid,but nothinged or rigid. These joins can transfer part of the structure’s bending moment. Ingeneral,people do not consider the problem of semi rigid connections in the structuralfinite element calculation, so the actual situation and the calculation result will bedifferent or even got the wrong conclusion sometimes. The main contents of thisresearch is the displacement of the semi-rigidly connected steel frame structure underthe action of lateral load.Ⅰ. At first,this article introduced the types and characteristics of semi rigid nodes.Second we compared the domestic and foreign semi rigid connection nonlinearM rrelation curve.Then we got the formula of the semi-rigid joint moment bearingcapacity through a large number of test data.Through the comparative we find thereare great differences in the lateral displacement of the frame structure between the twotypes of the joins.Ⅱ. We establish a10layer steel frame model in two types by using the structuralanalysis software SAP2000, first the rigid joins and second the semi rigid joins.We find when the same steel frame established in different ways, the results will bedifferent. When using the ideal rigid connection of steel frame lateral displacementlaw requirements, and the simulation software is more close to the practicalengineering of semi rigid nodes, the lateral displacement of frame exceeds the standardlimit value, namely the structure cannot meet the requirement of normal use condition.Ⅲ. when the steel frame with semi rigid joints simulation can not meet the standardrequirements, and further put forward3kinds of node structure optimization design forthe. It is change the rigidity of joints, this kind of method can be changed through thenode plate tectonic measures to achieve, such as changing the end plate size, adjust theend plate thickness and bolt quantity; The second is in the beam and column addedbetween slant supports, by increasing the slant supports to change the rigidity of steelbox, and to reduce the framework of the lateral displacement. A third is on the board ofthe flange haunched, using flange haunched can improve the rotation of the endplatestiffness, improve the ability of endpoint transfer bending moment.Through the research, this paper puts forward the steel frame design nodecalculation shortcomings, because semi-rigid and rigid joint stiffness of the rotational difference on the structure design and calculation have a significant impact, and thestructure of the lateral displacement of rigid and semi rigid joints were compared forthe different conclusion; and3method of semi rigid nodes are optimized design. Thisstudy can be of steel structure engineering design reference significance.
