| For commemorating Dr.Sun Yat-sen,the Zhongshan Parks were builded in large-scale after Sun Yat-sen's death Some of the parks were renamed or newly builded. Zhongshan Park was both a kind of entertainment place and the political education place of KMT.Zhongshan Park has a special meaning in the whole park history of China. Today,with the rapid ongoing urbanization,Landscape Architecture influence nearly all the parts of modem city,and the gardens become the closest space in the daily life.The remained Zhongshan Parks which are always the park with the longest history,biggest scale and the farthest-reaching impact in the city are the Vector of social memory and city history.They are not only the entertainment places,but also the symbols of the State rights and social ideology.Up to now,there are still lacks of systemless researches of Zhongshan Park.In this dissertation,characteristics of society and culture, characteristics of artistic style,characteristics of conservation and transformation from the point of Landscape Architecture are observed and studied systematically for Zhongshan Park.Based on the historic literatures and others' research results,27 Zhongshan parks with different scales are studied by field survey.To support the final results,the methods used in this paper are on-site measurement,photography and interview,etc.The generation,types and distribution of Zhongshan Park are neatened and generalized firstly in this dissertation.Then the meaning and value of the park is explained.Finally,the background flat of the research for this dissertation is built up. After that,from the changes of society,changes of function and changes of culture, characteristics of society and culture are studied systematically.Furthermore, characteristics of Garden Art are studied from four aspects:styles of the parks,landscape elements,regional art and commemorative expression.The relationship between Zhongshan Park's scene changes and the city's development is pointed out.Some suggestions of Zhongshan Park's protection and development are given finally.The conclusion including:Zhongshan Park is the vector of Sun Yat-sen Thought and the symbol of Kuomintang's veneration to Sun Yat-sen;it has some special meaning in the Chinese park history;in that time,it both shows the style of Chinese and Western, representing the highest building level of Chinese park;its address is influenced by city structure and the natural structure;the commemorative buildings are valued for their utilities and the cultural connotation they show;the Landscape pattern is both influenced by Chinese and Western;some plants in parks fetched from foreign countries have memorable meaning;lots of the modern Zhongshan Parks lose their uniqueness;rebuilt with the cities' growing,there are both successful examples and failed examples;the new era Zhongshan Parks have their own artistic and social value.Zhongshan Park is not only a history sign,but a sign with heritage value.Therefor,the whole Zhongshan Park should apply for cultural relic at national level. |
