Research On The Architecture Of The Hui Ethnic Group In Ningxia

With the blending of the Islamic and the Chinese culture, there forms a new ethnic group in the Chinese territory, that is, the Hui. During the process of the Islamic culture's Sinicization and localization, the Hui culture gradually formed.It not only moulds the Hui's nationality characteristics but also enriches the treasure-house of the Chinese culture. The exploration of the Hui's culture and full understanding would be helpful for the raising of the culture consciousness and heritaging the Hui ethnic minority.The Hui's architecture is a product of perfect blending of the Chinese culture with the Islamic one, and it could also be regarded as a kind of witness for the development process of the Hui ethnic group itself. Thus, the research of the Hui's architecture display its cultural connotation and art stytles . It is conducive for carrying forward the fine tradition and the nationality spirit of the Hui ethnic group.In this paper, the author collected a great deal of architecture pictures, data and documents after thorough exploration and on-the-field collection, based on the Hui's architecture as well as the Hui's culture. By doing so, the paper makes explanation in seven different chapters.
