Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) pavement has some superiority such as the simple and rapid construction, as well as less cost. But it also has three problems including poor pavement smoothness, anti-friction and abrasion resistance. This paper has proposed the RCC-PCC composite tunnel pavement by means of analyzing the properties of RCC and PCC. RCC-PCC composite pavement takes full advantages of RCC and PCC pavement performance. This paper focuses on the correlation among its structure, composition and performance. The structural design and Stress Finite Element Analysis has also been done to RCC-PCC composite pavement; feasibility and significant performance advantages have been verified by the experimental paving of RCC-PCC composite pavement.Firstly, this paper elaborates the design of the PCC-PCC composite pavement structure, and ascertains parameters of the thickness of layer, jointness between layers according to correlated design specifications. Based on the research and application of polymer modified concrete, new PCC surficial function layer material and the design idea of the one-time moulding technology of PCC surficial function layer has been adopted. The finite element calculations are used to simulate and analyse the stress distribution rule of RCC-PCC composite pavement structure under the action of traffic load, temperature gradient. The results show that, RCC-PCC composite pavement is able to meet the need of the load affected by load and temperature gradient.Secondly, by simulating the construction of asphalt paver molding process, the molding method of PCC, the evaluation methods and standards of construction performance.was proposed. The micro-structure and mechanic properties of polymer, organic fiber, and rheology asistant admixture were researched in this paper. The kind and optimal content of every component was proposed. The gradation of PPC aggregate is optimized according to correlative design theory. Then, based on the design theory of Volume analysis, a new mixture design method of PCC is proposed in this paper, the gradation of aggregates and Dp are the two key parameters of this design method. After adjusting its design parameters and contrasting with ordinary cement concrete, we have studied the road performances of PCC including operating performance, mechanical properties, toughness, durability, crack resistance, Kentfort deflecting performance, seep performance, surface function performance, etc. We also have analyzed and discussed the influence of component design parameters, such as aggregate gradation, grout fulling index, on the performances of PCC. The reasonable range of Dp was proposed by these performances. Finally, encircling the one-time paving construction technology of asphalt paver of PCC surface function layer, this paper has systematically worked over its engineering design requirements including raw materials and mixing ratio, processing of the below layer, mixing, transportation, paving, curing, etc. We also have established the construction quality controlling method of PCC surface function layer and tested the quality of the experimental project. After the test, we found PCC flexural strength of pavement functional layer was higher than 5MPa, compaction degree was more than 96%, deviation of smoothness was less than 3mm, texture depth was greater than 0.7mm, the surface friction pendulum was greater than 40BPN, infiltration coefficient of water was less than 80ml/min. the performances of PCC surface function layer was able to meet the requirements of correlated design specifications.
