The advancement of core rock-fill dam construction scale brings new challenge to the safety of the dam and requires higher level of quality control during the construction of the dam. How to carry out meticulous, all-weather and real-time monitoring and control over the construction quality of core rock-fill dam, and how to make dynamic and efficient integration management and analysis on information of quality monitoring, safety monitoring, schedule etc during the dam construction process for ensuring high-quality construction and assisting management decision-making, is an important project problem considered in construction. The author makes research on theory and application of system integration for real-time monitoring and control over core rock-fill dam construction quality, and the main contents and achievements are as follows:(1)System integration factors analysis of real-time monitoring and control over core rock-fill dam construction quality is carried on with the analytic hierarchy process, on base of which the system integration model of real-time monitoring and control over core rock-fill dam construction quality is built based on function integration, indicator integration, technology integration and information integration. Each integration content is studied: function integration is composed of representation integration and application integration located on different level, implementation principle research of which two integration is made; the indicator architecture of core rock-fill dam construction quality control is established through research on core rock-fill dam construction quality control standard and process, and then the objective function of real-time monitoring and control over core rock-fill dam construction quality is set up; the technology integration model is established, which includes three layers of monitoring data acquisition, transmission and representation, and the application of computer graphic technology on monitoring dam roller compaction quality, the application of web-based 3D visualization technology on monitoring materials haulage to dam are studied detailedly; the research of data integration, integration of construction schedule and quality, organization integration and engineering management software integration, which are important issues in information integration, is carried out.(2)The two core components of construction quality real-time monitoring and control system over core rock-fill dam, the dam roller compaction quality real-time monitoring and control system and the materials haulage to dam monitoring and control system are studied. Seperately, controlling objective function for each system is established; system solutions are constructed with technologies of GPS, network, database and so on; the monitoring and control indicators, such as rolling passes, compaction thickness, unloading match and traffic density, are calculated; and the software systems are developed.(3)The construction quality real-time supervisory control and digital dam system of core rock-fill dam is developed with opening design scheme and integrated development mode to implement dam construction quality real-time supervisory control and integration management of quality, schedule, safety, geology and others. The system has been applied in Nuozhadu hydropower project construction site; establishing dam construction quality real-time monitoring and control architecture, the system has realized meticulous, all weather and real-time monitoring and analyzing for the key links of dam construction process and controlled construction parameters effectively, which can reduce human factor in the construction quality control and improve quality monitoring lever and efficiency of construction process.
