Dam with asphalt concrete core has become a very competitive dam type, because of its advantages of excellent impermeability, good deformability, saving investment and so on. In recent years, with the increasing development of hydraulic asphalt concrete technology in our country, a large number of dams with asphalt core have been built. Roller compaction is the key process of the construction of dam with asphalt core, which is of vital importance for the formation of the structure of asphalt concrete, and is affected by many factors, such as climatic conditions, rolling manner, mechanical configuration. How to realize the refinement of the construction simulation of the roller compaction and reflect the complex and random rules in the rolling process has great significance for guidance of the construction site control and schedule management.Since the traditional construction simulation for roller compaction of dam with asphalt concrete core mainly take into consideration the compaction efficiency of rolling machinery, without any actual construction data integrating into the simulation model, which reduces the reliability of the simulation. Besides, without update of simulation parameters, the construction simulation based on traditional empirical parameters configuration cannot update according to the actual situation, which makes the lack of real-time simulation. Based on the detailed analysis of the rolling process of dam with asphalt concrete core, this paper introduces the real-time monitoring of rolling process into the simulation model according to the characteristics of the construction of dam with asphalt concrete core, and establishes the mathematical logic model of the segment of dam with asphalt concrete core, which realizes the refining simulation model of the process of the roller compaction. Based on the simulation parameter analysis of the rolling construction data from real-time monitoring, the segment duration and the qualified rate of the sections can be gotten through the Monte Carlo method. At last taking a dam with asphalt concrete core under construction in south west China as an example and the results are calculated by the simulation combining with the rolling construction data from real-time monitoring. And the method of validation of the simulation model is summarized, and the reliability of the simulation model is verified through confidence test and the sensitivity analysis of the simulation parameters is carried out by the local sensitivity analysis method, which ensures the reliability and accuracy of the simulation calculation. The comparison between the result of the simulation calculation and the actual real-time monitoring of rolling process shows that the simulation of the rolling duration is relatively accurate and the simulation model could reflect the actual construction; the sensitivity analysis shows that of all the five factors the speed and the rolling stagger time of the roller have the maximum sensitivity.
