Water buffaloes, goats and rats were selected to study the change of antioxidant function and to determine the change of eicosanoids and other immuno-factor during experimental fascioliasis in order to explain the role of free radical in the pathogentic course of fascioliasis. Otherwise, the affect of closantel sustained release bolus against Fasciola hepatica and effect on the antioxidant function were investigated to explore the therapy route of fascioliasis. The results were summarized as follows: I .Changes of Serum Anti-oxidation Function in Water Buffaloes Experimentally Infected 0 with Fasciola hepatica Normal levels of CAT, SOD, GHS-Px and MDA is 1.074監.645U/mL58.22&i2.175NU/ml and 50.83 1?2.239U/ml~ 5.988~1.5O9nmoWml, respectively. In series II, the level of GHS-Px is significantly less at 6?week, then fluctuation change, but markedly high at 20?1 week compared with control group; the level of SOD is significantly high at 17?1 week, no differences exist at other weeks; the level of CAT is only less at 8 week, markedly high at 6,7,17 week; the level of MDA is markedly high at 2?5 week, afterward it is drop, obviously less at 19?2 week. In series I, GSH-Px level is obviously less at 26 week, no differences or significantly high at other weeks, there were no differences of SOD level between infection and control group; The level of CAT is significantly high at 4,19 week; the level of MDA is significantly high only 7,8 week, since then markedly low, no differences or markedly high exist at other weeks. It suggested that there is a obvious change in short period found on anti- oxidation function of water buffaloes after infected with Fasciola hepatica and that water buffalo has stronger ability of anti-infection, showing that the produce, utilization and clearance of free radical in it can maintain at dynamic equilibrium during fasciolosis. 2. Study on the Changes of Antioxidation Function in Serum and Some Immune Indexes in Blood of Goats Experimentally Infected with Fasciola hepatica Each goat of infection group was orally dosed once 150 Fasciola hepatica metacercariae The results showed that eiosophile raised obviously post-infection and there were significant differences between infection and control group. White blood cell of infection group always Summary S higher than control group, but no differences. Red blood cell decreased and there were differences between two groups at 7 week of post-infection. During 17 weeks after infection except week 8, there was no differences in level of GSH-Px at every week, but level of GSH-Px in infection group was obvious change from 18 to 23 week compared with control group. During experiment, level of SOD presented fluctuated change at 1-5 week after infection, then it become placidity and it was less from 17 week compared with control group, but there was no differences between infection and control group. At 1-6 week of post-infection, level of CAT of infection and control group were alternately change compared with control group, then the level of CAT of infection group was higher from 6 to 12 week, but no differences. There was parallel between two group at 12-16 week of post-infection, then wave band. The level of MDA of infection group always presented wave during experiment period, it appeared higher at 8 and 9 week and lower at 17 and 20 week compared with control group. The level o...
