Suiting to the implementing fuel-ethanol development plan in our country, the program was based on the Canna edulis ker resources and the provincial status of GuiZhou, the technology was researched to produce fuel-ethanol from Canna edulis ker and feedstuff by lactic-fermentation from its vinasse, meanwhile the technology on production feedstuff by fermentation from corn-vinasse and the quality evaluation were also studied.The content of starch in Canna edulis ker was 58.85%. the initializing temperature for gelatinization in Canna edulis ker starch was 68℃ after determined by Brabender viscosity meter, and it was lower than that of corn starch, 75℃. The viscosity of gelatination ascended from 61BU to 167BU.When the starch concentration of Canna edulis ker was increased from 6% to 8%. The ascendant trend of viscosity presented when temperature was lowered from 95℃ to 50℃ in starch paste. The gelatination-temperature of starch and raw material of Canna edulis ker was 63-66-70℃ and 68-71-75℃ respectively.Water swell potential of Canna edulis ker starch was 990, be close to that of potato starch, 1023, but much higher than that of corn starch, 21, and that showed Canna edulis ker starch had higher potential to absorb water for swelling.The high gravity fermentation was studied using as Canna edulis ker substrate. The cooking technology were: Canna edulis ker was crushed to 23-30目, the ratio of material and water was 1:3.0, dosage of ɑ-amylase was 5u/g, cooking temperature was 90℃, cooking time was 45min. The simultaneous saccharification and fermentation(SSF) technology was adopted in the work, dosage of glucoamylase was 150u/g, the initializing pH value was 4.2, the utilizing percentage of starch was 86.87%.The crude protein in Canna edulis ker vinasse was 19.18%, the total content of 17 amino acids was 10.11%, crude fibre was 18.34. according to the standard of flocks and herds feedstuff, it was suitable to produce flocks and herds feedstuff from Canna edulis ker vinasse. The growth character of L.acidophilus was tested, the optimal growth environment was: WSC3.0%, pH6.0, 30-37℃. The fermentation time was 13h at the inoculum size of 6%. Based on the synthesis utilization of Canna edulis ker vinasse, the process chart to produce flocks and herds feedstuff was:Canna edulis ker vinasse→adding powder of corn core or straw→complete mixture→inoculating lactobacillus→lactic-fermentation with anaerobic condition→lactic-fermentation feedstuff→preservation under anaerobic conditionThe determined fermentation process was: the seed(inoculants) of L.acidophilus was inoculated in Canna edulis ker vinasse at 6%, fermentation time was 10d at 30℃ under anaerobic condition. The amount of living lactobacillus was more than 3.3×107cfu/g, the lactic content was 3.23% and the pH was about 4.0. The change of crude protein, amino acid and ratio of m(VBN)/m(TN) was insignificant after fermentation, that indicated the protein was not decomposed in the fermentation and the nutrient substance was maintained in the feedstuff.The economic analysis on the co-production of fuel-ethanol and lactic fermentation feedstuff from Canna edulis ker showed, the product cost of 10 thousand tons fuel-ethanol was about 25.043 million yuan, the profit of ethanol was 607,000 yuan under the sell price of 3000yuan/ton, the total profit would be 10.385million yuan combined with the income from the fermentation feedstuff of vinasse. Based on the raw material resources, the status of liquor-making factory, the development of stockbreeding and the de-poverty plan in GuiZhou province, a blueprint was designed in the paper to co-produce fuel-ethanol and flocks and herds feedstuff from Canna edulis ker in middle and small liquor-making factory, after the plan was implemented, 180 thousand tons fuel-ethanol were produced from Canna edulis ker a year and that could let 27 thousand people to obtain employment.The gelatination-temperature of corn material was 60-64-70℃ after determined by DSC meter, and the result further elucidate...
