Though the extensive investigation of biology,ecology and geographical distribution of Dalbergia obtusifolia Prain , a Superior host plant of lac insect in Yunnan province , the paper systemically studied ecological genetics of the six collected populations to build science and theory foundation of germ plasm conservation and evaluation. The research results are summarized as follows: 1. There are differences or marked differences on indexes such as legumen length, legumen width, seed color and seed weight of different geographical provenance. Temperature of collection site shows positive correlation with the seed number, while negative with seed weight and legumen width. 2. There are marked variation on seed germination and seeding growth of different provenance. Germination rate and seeding growth are positive to provenance altitude. Seeding growth is negative to provenance temperature. Germination and seeding growth are positive to seed weight. 3. It is generally to see morphological differentiation and variation among different geographical provenance, such as effective branch number, branch length, branch diameter, functional leaf length, leaf width, leaf weight and tree growth. Morphological hierarchical clustering shows the relative among different provenance ; The relative of Yunxian and Zhenyuan provenance is close ,and then Shuangjiang and Longling provenance. Clustering distance is positive to geographical distance. 4. Number of polymorphic primers of different geographical provenance is 129, polymorphic primers ratio is 81.13%, heredity diversity index is 0.1343, genetic distance is 0.1433, Gst is 0.3955, all above numbers give a RAPD evidence to explain complicated heredity variation among different provenances of Dalbergia obtusifolia Prain. RAPD clustering fig also shows, The relative gradation among different provenances are Zhenyuan, Shuangjiang, Yunxian, and Longling provenance. 5. There is a little difference between morphological and RAPD clustering. Morphological gradation are Zhenyuan, Yunxian, Shuangjiang and Longling provenance; Zhenyuan is near to Yunxian, so environment condition such as climate and soil are similar, so the morphological character is also similar; Along with distance far off, morphological characters change greatly. RAPD clustering are Zhenyuan, Shuangjiang, Yunxian and Longling provenance; Zhenyuan and Shuangjiang are at the south end of Wuliang mountain, there are no lofty mountains to cut off the gene connexion between 2 provenances , so their relative is close; Yunxian is at the north-west of Wuliang mountain(Maotoushan,the highest peak of Wuliang mountain ,3306 meters above sea level),the lofty mountain restrict gene connexion to other provenance, and the same reason for Longling provenance. 6. There are different transpiration rate among different provenances even planted in one site. But variation is small among stirps in one population. Transpiration clustering are Zhenyuan, Shuangjiang, Yunxian and Longling provenance. The trees grows well along with the transpiration rate increasing. Except Longling provenance, Zhenyuan, Shuangjiang, Yunxian provenance grow well and undefoliation in the germplasm conservation forest 7. Ther are marked difference at lac indexes. Clustering gradation by lac yield are Zhenyuan, Yunxian and Shuangjiang provenance.The geographical and environmental condition is alike between Zhenyuan and Yunxian ,so their lac yield is also alike. 8. The difference of inorganic element and organic composition are also popular among different provenances, for the distance and soil causation. The ingredient between Zhenyuan and Yunxian provenances are similar, such as Cu, P,K,S, protein and amino acid etc. Ingredient is also variational at lac insect settled branches and unsettled branches, the results shows that lac insect settlement makes the spacial disequilibrium of inorganic and organic component . Regression Analysis and T-testshows, there are close relationship between P, K, Mg ,protein with lac yield. 9. The heredity foundation and gene store is enough for the tree breeding and other studies of the germ plasm of Dalbergia obtusifolia Prain. Collection methods and principle are scientific and reliable. The conservation forest can effectively conserve the germplasm of Dalbergia obtusifolia Prain.
