Dalbergia tonkinensis Prain belongs to the Papilionaceae Dalbergia that usually grow in tropical or subtropical at an altitude of 400-800 m of natural forest and secondary forest and it is a fast-growing and semi-deciduous tree which orginally find in Vietnam,Laos,Thailand and other places.It can be divided into incense sticks of wood for it similar to D.odorifera T.Chen of China endemic tree.Its wood is hard but clear and beautiful texture with ghost eyes and spicy sour.However,due to the extinction of D.odorifera,importing of D.tonkinensis become the preferred alternative.But as D.odorifera its natural forests is on the verge of extinction while its name included in red items in Vietnam,In this research,10 provenance seeds of tonkinensis imported from Vietnam to be the based materials,we study the variation of provenances on seed characteristics and seed sowing quality,and difference in photosynthetic characteristics and seedlings growth performance in a half year that selected superior provenances preliminarily and filled the gaps in introduction experiment,providing technical supporting and theoretical basis for the introduction and cultivation.Main conclusions as follow:?1?The most excellent provenance is GL which its seed length?14.26mm?,seed width?8.03mm?,1000-seed weight?139.671g?and germination characteritic are best than others.TS provenance followed which seed length is 12.37 mm,seed width is 6.79 mm,1000-seed-weight is 105.580 g and germination is 69.4%.Not only significant genetic variation of seed morphology and germination characteritic among the different provenances,but aslo there is certain positive correlation between 1000-seed-weight and seed length and width and seed germination potential.Seed morphological characteristics?seed length,seed width and 1000-seed weight?effect vulnerably on latitude and longitude,altitude and time the number of sunshine.?2?The gas exchange parameters,chlorophyll content and leaflets morphological traits of the one half-year seedlings under field test conditions have significant difference.The better performance of net photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate,SPAD value and leaf area is provenance QL at one half year(16.48?mol.m-2.s-1 and 7.07 mmol.m-2.s-1),GL,TS,KC provenance followed.GL,TS provenance have higher water use capabilities than others.?3?The height and diameter on ground level growth performance between different provenances.are showing significant differences at each growth stage of this experiment.It is priority for GL,QL and TS provenance to introduce and culture whose growth performance is more prominent which QL provenance height is 1.43 m and ground diameter is 2.52 cm,GL provenance is 1.25 m and 2.41 cm and TS provenance is 1.18 m and 2.41 cm.?4?Weight under testing seeds and 1000-seed weight significantly or highly significant positive correlation to each other factors.Seed width has easily influenced on seedling growth than seed length and seed thickness.Net photosynthetic rate significantly positive correlate with height and ground diameter of each growth stage addition to six months old seedling height in this test.There was a significantly positive correlation between transpiration rate and height and ground diameter after planting seedlings stable one half year.Other factors SPAD value and stomatal conductance do not significantly affect the height and diameter growth.The growth performance of seedlings have a significant impact on net photosynthetic rate just only,influce on transpiration rate appeared in seedling growth was stable condition.Comprehensive seeds characteristic,photosynthetic physiology and one half year growth performance of seedlings.The GL,QL and TS can be given priority for introduction and cultivation provenance.
