Study On The Growing Rhymes Of The Plants And Proper Utilization Model Of Rangeland In Northern Slope Of Tianshan Mountains

The fundamental countermeasures for the degradation of the rangeland are to develop correct stocking rates and grazing schedule such as timing and area that based on the scientific assessment. Accordingly, the correlative up to date between growth rhythm of plants and proper utilization of rangeland should be held.The preliminary results on the modeling of the growth rhythm of rangeland types from different geological locations and appropriate utilization in these areas were based on the analysis of the growth rhythm of plants,biological yields of the rangeland community as well as climate factors in the vertical belts of the middle parts of northern slope of Tianshan mountain in Urumqi and Changji area.1. The growth rhythm of the rangeland plants1.1The plants of Annual in plain grew fas4 between the beginning of May and June; in the late June, the growth speed of plants became slow and the increase of yield droppe$, at the beginning of August, the yield came to the climax; the growth curve of the rangelAnd was"single peak"type.1.2 Desert and steppe-desert in Artemisia plain and in piedmont belts,the growth curve of the rangeland was"double peak"type within a year. The peak was at the end of spring, the beginning of summer and autumn. It stopped growing and went to dormant status in late June to late July. It re-grew in August as autumn growth, but the growth was slower than in spring.1.3 The active growth period of the desert rangeland in low mountain area and rangeland plants was in early summer, the after-mature nutritional growth increased the rangeland yield of Artemisia shrubs and Festuca. The bloom time of grasses in mountain meadow–steppe on the northern slope was in May and June whereas the other plants was in July and August. The most active growth was in August.1.4 The rangeland yield of the middle mountain meadow was"single peak"type. The high grasses rangeland which located in the middle to lower part of the mountain, the peak period of rangeland yield was in early July, the re-growth rangeland after harvesting could be used for early autumn grazing. The low grasses rangeland at higher part of the mountain was high in density but the plants were short.
