Genetic Effects Of Quality Traits In Pepper(Capsicum Annuum L.)

Grey correlation between pepper's nutritive components and its agronomic characters, resistance to diseases, and net photosynthesis, and combining abilities of its main nutritive ingredients were investigated using 15 hybrids the 1^st as materials prepared from diallele of these 6 selfing peppers as parental plants: the pointed peppers, kissing the ground, the low- but- early peppers, the Hexi corn-shaped peppers , the Xiang Tan late peppers, the low- plant peppers , the Shanghai sweet pepper, (back-hybriding not included).The result was as follows:1 .The primary genetic effects had greater effects on : ratios of soluble sugar, protein, capsaicine, and the weight of placenta, the seed quantity of a single pepper, the width of a pepper; the weight of a single pepper; the length of the pepper, thickness of the pepper.
