When women enter peri-menopausal period, the metabolism of lipid is disturbed because of the diminution of ovary function, which decreases the level of estrogen and makes endocrines imbalance, thus induces or aggravates the Atherosclerosis ,and the incidence and mortality rate of the coronary heart disease (CHD) is rising distinctly. Postmenopausal atherosclerosis is the results of the interaction of the multiple factors which including sorts of agents. Recently, it has been testified that the advanced glycosylation end products (AGEs) play an unexpected role in the occurrence and development of the atherosclerosis. AGEs can induce or aggravate the atherosclerosis. Therefore, more and more attention are focused on the relation between AGEs and senescence or atherosclerosis. The process of AGEs deposition is complex, mainly relate to the disorder of the glycometabolism, oxidation reaction and the produce of the free radical. Whether or not AGEs can increase or accumulate in the aorta when estrogen decrease rapidly? Whether or not there is relationship between AGEs increasing and the disturbance of lipid in postmenopausal women? About which we have not seen any report yet. But reports have showed recently that the level of AGEs in the bone tissue increase obviously in ovariectomied rats. In this study, rats were ovariectomied to simulate the postmenopausal state. The relationship between changes of AGEs accumulated in the aorta and the disturbance of lipid was investigated. Aminoguanidine, the specific inhibitor of AGEs, was selected as the control to discuss the role of AGEs in the aorta lesion in the ovariectomied rats and the relationship with lipid metabolism, so as to illustrate the pathologic mechanism of high incidence of CHD in postmenopausalwomen.Epidemiologic study have indicated that the consumption of soybeans among the population of East Asia is associated with lower risks of cardiovascular disease and menopausal symptoms than those of western country. A great number of experiments have showed that isoflavone consumption plays a very important role in preventing chronic diseases. Therefore, Much attention have focused upon the soybean isoflavone in preventing and curing the aging retrogressive disease.《shiwubencao》and《shiliaobencao》describe the action of soybean as tonifying the kidney and curing the heartache, 《bielu》describe that it can lower the congestion. 《The great lexicon of the traditional Chinese medicine》record that the soybean isoflavone has the action of the para-estrogen. In the traditional Chinese medicine theory , the pathology of arteriosclerosis is related with phlegm and blood congestion, which belongs to the category of phlegm and congestion. The pathogenesis mostly relates with the weak of the liver and kidney and the loss of Lienal function and the endogenesis of phlegm and the block of the venation. Studies have showed that many tonifying kidney recipes have the prominent effect in curing the aging retrogressive disease. The results indicated that there are many kinds of plant estrogens which contain flavone. Flavone is the main element which produce a marked effect in tonifying kidney recipe. In this study, starting with tonifying kidney, we apply with the para-estrogen function of the soybean isoflavone to delete the phlegm and the congestion thus smooth away the venation, so as to cure the syndrome and the root of the disease simultaneously. Report have showed that flavone, such as Silibinin could restrain the produce of the non-enzyme glycosylation, but it hasn't reported about the influence of the soybean isoflavone on AGEs yet. In this study, by investigating the protection and mechanism of the soybean isoflavone on the rat aorta, which was based on the elucidation of the influence of ovarieotomy on the AGEs and blood lipid in rats, so as to provide the evidence to analyzeand evaluate the significance of the protection of the soybean isoflavone on the cardiovascular system and the application of the soybean isoflavone.The first part: Th...
