Based on the fundamental theories from TCM and dynamical systems theory (DST), as well as general principles from scientific philosophy, the paper, on a microscopic basis, explores the mechanisms in psychological processes and psychosomatic correlation, in attempt to introducing a scientific model. Having cited the generally accepted criteria for sciences, and thus, for the model to establish, the author makes comparison between DST, information theory and theories from TCM. Centralized on behaviors by order, the strange attractor in chaos theory, initial descriptions are made upon a unified model for psychology and psychosomatic correlation, the frame of which is structured according to TCM fundamental theories, with Chi, as a case of point, that traditionally serves as comprehensive trajectories in the system of human bodies. Conclusion1. The psycho-cog-physical system exhibits nonlinear characteristics, while substantial orders have been built-in during its evolutionary procedure as a complex adaptive system. 2. Behaviors of orders reveal interior mechanisms in cognition, emotion and psychosomatic correspondence. 3. With the Chi system as a frame, theories on Yin-yang, Five-elements, Five-psychic-factors and Five-emotions are naturally integrated into a grand-unified model for the psycho-cog-physical system...
