The root of plant Caragana sinica ( Buc'hoz) Rehd,.(Fabaceae) wildly in Chinahas been used as a folk medicine named "Jin Que Gen " which has the effects to clearaway the lung-heat, reinforce the spleen and promote vital energy and bloodcirculation, Jin Que Gen has been used in fold for the treatment female disease suchas menoxenia, menopause syndrome ect. In our group research, many oligostilbenes, some of which possess estrogenic activity, were found in the proliferation, differentiation and maturation on cultured osteoblasts in vitro. In this thesis, systematic phytochemical researches on the ethyl acetate part of theaerial of the Caragana sinica were carrid out in order to that were biological would befound and new medicinal botanical resources would be explored, Twenty-twocomponents were isolated and nineteen of them were identified, Among them, fifteencompounds were stilbenoids, and they were identified as carasiphenol A (1),carasiphenol B (2), carasiphenol C (3), carasiphenol D (4), carasinaurone (5), pallidol(6), (-)-ε-viniferin (7), caraphenol A (8), (-)-ampelopsin F (9), (+)-α-viniferin (10),miyabenol C (11), kobophenol A (12), carasinol A (13), carasinol B (14), caraphenol B(15), resveratrol (16), quercetin (17), acacetin (18) and 3, 5-dihydroxybenzolic acid(19), respectively. In these components, 1~5 were new compounds, and the crystal ofpallidol (6) was obtained firstly together with the compounds, and the first isolation ofthe compound (-)-ε-viniferin (7) from the genus Caragana. Physiologically thecompounds carasiphenol D (4) showed significant biological activites againstPyricularia oryzae. The experiment indicated that the aerial part of Caragana sinica was full ofbiological active stilbenoids and it might be expected as new medicinal plant material. Caraphenols that was made from Jin-Que-Gen is a new drug in developing forosteoporosis. Its quantitative control (QC) is the critical to whole work. According tothe results of pharmacological and phytochemistry experiment, we finished the HPLCfingerprints of the Caraphenols and Jin-Que-Gen. The details of fingerprints thatagreed with the standard were given both in quality and quantity. Additionally, wealso established a convenient quantitative method for material. Ten medicinal materialof Caragana sinica from different growing places were analyzed and examined. Thecorresponding relationship between the oligostilbenes in Caragana sinica and itsliving seasons were primarily concluded. This work will be basis of the next drugdevelopment in the future.
