1 The shape and ultra structure glandular hairs of Pelargonium graveolens L'Herit.We observed that the glandular hair is composed of one base-cell,2 to 4 petiole cell and unicellular head. We first observed that the head ofmature tentacle contained transfer cells which were pellet shape, thickness cytoplast, large nucleolus, developing endoplasm, small vacuole and thick cell wall. The ultra structure and growth rule of tissue culture Pelargonium graveolens L'Herit glandular hairs is consistent with normal plant. There are many glandular hairs on differentiation callus.It is imply that there is anatomical base on yielding of essential oil of .pelargonium graveolens :'Herit by tissue culture. We discuss the physiological meaning of the growth of inner tuber of head-cell.2.The accumulation and regulation of secondary metabolization product of plant 2.1 The research on the accumulation and regulation of secondary metabolization product of plant during planting2.1.1 The influence of growth period and producing area on the oil yield ratio and compose of essential oilThere are significant difference of the illumination intension and temperature during geranium growth period from July to September. Different pick period caused a siginificant affect on oil yield and content of essential oil. There are particularly affected on linalool, rose oxide, citronellol and geraniol. The production of linalool, isomenthone, citronellol,geraniol, geranyl formate were dicreased with the extend of growth period while the content of rose oxide, citronellyl formate and geranyl acetate were increasing. There was no change on citronellyl acetate. The content of Cis-rose oxide and Trans-rose oxide in Yunnan was higher than Shanghai. It indicated that top note smell of Yunnan geranium was better. There is no siginificant effect on essential oil contant ratio by incising leaves. The contant ratio raised form 1.53ml/kg to 1.55ml/kg. Both leafstalk and stalk did not contain any essential oil when incised or not. There were increasing in monomer component of essential oil. There was no effect on the content of geraniol.
