Objective: The main purpose of this study was to prepare a new kind of porous compound toughened nano-HA-ZrO2 ceramics to realize reconstruction of jaw bones defect with nano-technology and ceramics toughen-technology, observing its integration with bone ross-section. Methods: On the basis of successful preparation of nano-size hap particles, bioporous-ceramics were prepared by forming and sintering these mixtures of pore-forming agent, physical-chemical characterizations and biocompatibility were measured, the interfaces between the bone and HA-ZrO2 was observed on different periods. According to BMP-7 can speed the healing rate of bone, we transfected BMSCs with gene reconstruction BMP-7 cDNA adenovirus. We observed the interface to find out whether it play part. Results: HA-ZrO2 material was prepared successfully which matched with Biomedical Materials, and HA-ZrO2 have Ossteo-integrity with bone cross-section. Conclusions: It is possible to realize that HA-ZrO2 could be fine substitutions of bone defects. HA-ZrO2 can meet with the need of study of repairing bone defects for further study.
