To evaluate the diagnosis value of DWI in the disease of breast, 150 cases withdisease of breast were retrospectively studied. They all underwent MRM andbreast DWI examinations right before surgical operation. The relationshipsbetween the different disease of breast and ADC, the clinical value of combiningADC and the type of delayed enhancement were analyzed. The following results were obtained. (1) Strength multiple in early stage largerthan 3 is inclined to malignant lesion. Strength multiple smaller than 1 is inclinedto benign lesion. (2) Drop type of delayed enhancement and reduction of diffusionspeed are the important parameters in diagnosis of ductal carcinoma. (3) In droptype not including platform or rising type including platform of delayedenhancement, if ADC≤1.5 x 10-3mm2/s is viewed as the diagnosis standard of theductal carcinoma, 96.7% cases with invasive ductal carcinoma and 86.4 % caseswith ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) are satisfied with the standard. 21.4% caseswith benign breast lesions probably are diagnosed exaggeratedly. (4) ADC istightly related to the density of fibrous cells, and proportional to the percentage ofbreast stroma. Hemorrhage, necrosis in tumor tissue and the density of fibrous cell in stromahave significant effect on ADCIn conclusion: (1) Combining ADC and type of delayed enhancement as well asstrength multiple in early stage can obviously raise the diagnosis correctness inductal carcinoma of breast. (2) ADC is tightly related to density of cells, andproportional to the percentage of breast stroma.
