Cancer (malignancy) is one of the fatal diseases, which are confronting to human being. The death rate of its suffers is rather high. Along with the development of medicinal, cancer has not been the incurable disease, especially to most early cancer, its suffers can be treated or even cured by modern medicinal treatment artifice and technology. So the early detecting and diagnose of cancer is one of the keys for increasing the cure rate. At present, some often-used physics detecting artifices are: X radial, computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound imaging, endoscopy and so on. Because of their high price or harm to human body or discomfort, many suffers are often diagnosed by these methods at medium or terminal cancer, the best therapeutic occasion is dallied over.Along with the rise and development of biomedicine engineering, microwave is regarded as more and more important in diagnose and therapy to cancer. Because of the different dielectric characteristics between the body's normal tissues and pathological (cancer) tissues, so their reactions are different when irradiated by microwave. Therefore the microwave can be used to detect tumor according to this reason. Upon the base of above, in this paper the detection of human body's subcutaneous tumor by microwave is mainly researched, also some technology measures for getting the better detecting effect. At first, the dielectric characteristic of biology tissue, the bases of microwave detecting and background materials are introduced in this paper. Because of no usable reference datum, by using some known literature information and illustration, some necessary datum about human body's tissues is deducted and is used to do next research work. Then the research assume and measure are put forward in this paper. At next, a simplification model for analyzing is founded according to physiological structure of human surface tissue and making use of wave-guide probe. And the Finite-Difference Time-Domain method (FDTD) is used to analyze and calculate. The feasibility of using microwave to detect human body's subcutaneous tumor is validated.
