Breast Tumor is a significant health issue for women. Early diagnosis of Breast Tumor will help a lot to enhance the success of therapy and the forward liability of sufferer. Therefore, Early Breast Tumor Detection Technology has been a highlight of medical imaging community all over the world. Microwave Near-Field Breast Tumor Detection relies on differences in electrical properties between malignant and fatty tissues. Based on the technology of UWB (Ultra Wide Band) radar, Microwave Near-Field Breast Tumor Detection Technology has the excellent features of: (1) Low radiation energy of electromagnetic signal; (2) Large account of objective carrier information token by Impulse; (3) High resolution and Millimeter level accurate location, etc. So the technology provides the possible solution to detect Early Breast Tumor safely, quickly and accurately.This dissertation is one part of Shanghai Municipal High Technology Tackle KeyProject------"Research on the imaging method of Breast Tumor in UWB near-fieldenvironment and diagnosis of early Breast Tumor (Project Number: 03JC14026)." Following the magistral line of imaging investigation on Early Breast Tumor in UWB near-field environment, we discuss the electrical properties of breast tissue in near-field environment, and then propose the new imaging method of Early Breast Tumor on the basis of Computer near-field electromagnetic simulation.We introduce the construction and function of each module of the "UWB near-field Breast Tumor Detection System" and analyze the relationship between "3D imaging" and other modules and also emphasize the key role of "3D imaging" in the whole detection system. Then, according to the structure character and electrical property of breast tissue, we establish the hemispherical breast tissue model for research. Utilizing HFSS (3D electromagnetic simulation software produced by Ansoft Corp.) with FEM (finite element method) to simulate the hemispherical breast tissue model, we get illuminations about the selection of UWB signal's center frequency, the arrangement of antenna array, the assignment of boundary and design of the visualization platform, and the simulation has whittled down the experiment expense.
