2'5' Oligoadenylate synthetase (2'5'AS) is generally an interferon-induced enzyme and is crucial for the anti -virus activity of interferon. But for the other biological effects of ioterferon, such as regulating immunol function, inhibiting cell mitosis and tumor cell growth, the exact mechanism of interferon-2'5'AS system remains to be indentified.In the present study,a series of experimental and clinical investigations were conducted to further look for the mechanisms of antivirus and anti-neoplasm action of interferon-2'5'AS, and to explore the possible pathogenesis in course of viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma.Part I.
