Experimental Study On The Acceleration Of The Hemato-Immunological Reconstitution Of The Lethally Irradiated Mice Following Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) By Sheng Xue Tang (SXT) Plus Interleukin-2

In this study, the effect of the Chinese traditional medicine-Sheng Xue Tang on the hematological and immunological functions of normal and sub-lethally irradiated mice was examined. The results indicated that:1. Sheng Xue Tang is able to enhance the cellular and humoral immune responses of normal mice.2. Sheng Xue Tang can significantly accelerate the proliferation and differentiation of stem cells of sublethally irradiated mice and improve the recovery of immunological functions,including the activities of T lymphocyte,B lymphocyte,marcophage,and the IL-2 production.On the basis of the above results, we systemically studied the effect of Sheng Xue Tang,alone or in combination with IL-2,on hemato-immunological reconstitution of bone marrow transplantation(BMT)mice.
