Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD ) is a series of chronic respiratory diseases characterized by airflow obstruction, which mainly consists of chronic bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema, and so on. If it can't be prevented and treated timely and rationally, it may develop pulmonary hypertension and chronic cor pulmonale. The pathogenesis of COPD has not been clearly understood, but lots of studies show that protease-antiprotease imbalance and inflammation in airway and lung are the most important risk factors. Up to now, there are no ideal drugs available to prevent and treat it in the world. So it is an important and urgent project to study the pathogenesis and search some kinds of ideal drugs of COPD.In this study, Syrian golden hamsters were used and divided randomly into thirteen groups: (1) Control group(C, n=9), hamsters were fed normally after a single intratracheal administration of physiological saline; (2) Normobaric hypoxic pulmonary hypertension group (H, n=5); (3) Emphysema group(E, n=5); (4) Emphysema plus pulmonary hypertension group(EH, n=9); (5) Preventive group with Feishuling(P, n=9); (6) 1 month spontaneous recovery from normobaric hypoxic pulmonary hypertension group(HRl, n=5); (7) 1 month spontaneous recovery from emphysema group (ER1, n=5); (8) 1 month spontaneous recovery from emphysema plus pulmonary hypertension group(EHR1, n=10); (9) 1 month therapeutic group with Feishuling (T1, n=10); (10) 3 months spontaneous recovery from normobaric hypoxic pulmonary hypertension group(HR3, n=5); (11) 3 months spontaneous recovery from...
