Nanoleakage of the adhesive-dentin interface, which had been described as pathway of water penetration into the bonding interface, was considered to cause water sorption, hydrolytic degredation of exposed collegen fibers and resin elution at the resin-dentin interface, and the reason of marginal discoloration, recurrent caries and the loss of restorations. Furthermore, nanoleakage is one of the important factors related to the ageing of resin-dentin interface and decreasing of the stability of dentin bonding. So, it's important to investigate the mechanism of nanoleakage of the adhesive-dentin, to explore the method to decrease nanoleakage and achieve solid and stable dentin bond for clinical application.By the systemic investigation on nanoleakage of the adhesive-dentin interface, this study clarified deeply the nanoleakage of total-etching adhesives and a simple, convenient and accurate method was established for comparison among nanoleakege of different adhesives. On the base of bond sthrength test, this study explored the measure to decrease nanoleakage for the total-etching technique by altering the dentin bonding condition. The influence of different solvents in adhesives on nanoleakage and dentin bond strength was also investingated. The results was for practitioners to select bonding materials in clinic. At the same time, the possibility of occurrence of unsealed porosities in the self-etching adhesives-dentin interface was also discussed and the mechanism of naoleakage of self-etching adhesives was analysized. The dentin bond strength and nanoleakage of adhesive-dentin interface was observed on animal model for a long-term durability in vivo, which is beneficial for clinical performance . The results are...
