BackgroundThe concept of Visible Human Project was brought forward by Amearican scientist firstly in 1989, they obtained the first virtual human body data in 1994 and the second virtual female body data in 1996. It is the virtual human body or an virtual organ which have three dimensional structure realized by computer technology. The best model of virtual human body should have physiology function. The first step to establish the virtual body is to obtain the data of the specimen of human body.The success of the Visible Human Project have greatly changed the model of three dimensional reconstruction and visualization in medicine science. Now, the secondly virtual physics and the thirdly virtual physiology human body have been under researching. The South Korean have also made out the blue view to establish the Visible Korean Human data in five years in 2000.The project of Virtual Chinese Human was put forward in Xiangshan Meeting in Nov. 2001 and listed in the nation's "863" program. It was carried out by the first medical university, the computer science departmant of Chinese Academy of Science, the Capital University, the Center China Science and Technology University.There are 9 visual Chinese human body data which have been provided for further study in Shanghai, Changqin and Guangzhou in our country until now.
