The ideal bone graft substitute material from a biological and biochemical point of view is one that can be completely replaced by new bone from the host. Biodegradable synthetic polymers are a kind of materials which are non — toxic and biocompatible, and have been used as fracture fixation implants%os-teopromotive membrane from 1970's. In recent years,Wang et al first purified and characterized active recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein — 2 (rhBMP — 2),and active investigation into its carrier materials is now underway. Tissue engineering by cell transplantation has been proposed as a strategy to achieve organ replacement or tissue repair for a variety of therapeutic needs, such as for reconstruction damaged skin, cartilage and blood vessels. After reviewing previous studies, in present experiment, three — dimensional biodegradable foams of D. L — PLA for use in tissue engineering were used as a delivery system for rhBMP —2,and the evaluation of the safety of the material was made. Furthermore, the research of ectopic bone induction and bone defects repairing was done, and engineering bone tissue by osteoblast transplantation using degradable polymer substrates was investigated. 一 .The construction, physical — mechanical characterization and biological e-valuation of polymer foams of D. L — PLA1. Constructing three — dimensional biodegradable polymer foams of D. L...
