The cell cycle is ahighly organised and complex process, which ensures that there is complex andaccurate replication of the cell before division. The active cell cycle has beendivided into four phases. Mitosis (M phase) was the first to be identified becauseit has distinctive morphological stages. Subsequently, increased knowledge of thestructure and function of DNA gave rise to the introduction of the term S(synthesis) phase, which related to DNA synthesis. The first break immediatelyafter mitosis was called gap1 (G1) and the second break after S phase, gap2 (G2).Recently, there were great progresses on molecular mechanism of control of cellcycle; it is known that cell cycle is controlled by a series of proteins in cells.Recently, eight types of cyclin have been found (cyclin A-H). Their expressionchanged with difference phase of cell cycle. Cyclin overexpression and wrongcontrol can cause cell worse. Someone projected cyclin was oncogene. We knowcell change from G1 to M phase have some limited point. Inside, the limited pointof G2/S is the key at control of cell cycle. cyclin A could obviously increase fromG1 to S phase and was proved that cyclin A is a characteristic protein in S phase. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | squamous carcinoma of the tongue, cyclin, cell cycle, antisense, sense, gene therapy, transfectin | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
