Polymeric biomedical material research is a new branch of the biomedical study, which is an edged cross-discipline of Biology, Iatrology, Chemistry, Physics and Material. It is the basis of artificial tissue or organ preparation, medical devices manufacture, new drug development and Bionic study. With excellent mechanical properties, bioelastomer is an important part of biomaterials and widely used in medical treatment apparatus, artificial organ (mechanical heart, artificial skin, artificial ear and so on), tissue engineering, hemostasia and drug control. With the development of tissue engineering, there are more and more demands on bioelastomer, especially degradable bioelastomer. In this study, two kinds of novel citric acid-based degradable bioelastomers were synthesized—network poly(ether ester) bioelastomer Poly(PEG-co-CA) (PEC2, PEC3, PEC4 and PEC6) and network polyester bioelastomerPoly((propanediol-sebacate)-citrate) (PPSC-I, PPSC-II and PPSC-III) by carrying out a controlled condensation reaction between monomers with fine biocompatibility. The mechanical properties, in vitro degradation and as well as swelling behavior of elastomers were...
