Doppler echocardiography, as a means of noninvasive evaluation pulmonary pressure, is concerned by scholars recently. Because a tricuspid regurgitation jet is detected about 30-50% in patients with chronic lung disease or with pulmonary artery pressure elevated mildly, the method by pulmonary artery flow spectrum become a complemental method for noninvasive evaluation pulmonary artery pressure. However, there are many indexes reflecting pulmonary artery pressure using the method of flow spectrum, so, which index could reflete the change of pulmonary artery pressure best? There are many regression equations for estimation pulmonary artery pressure, but which is the most accurate? Are these equations suitable for different diseases and dynamics of pulmonary vascular? Could be multiple regression equation established for estimation pulmonary artery pressure more accurately? In order to answer these questions, the pulmonary flow spectrum of 33 patients with congenital heart disease, 13 patients with pulmonary vascular diseases, 18 patients with chronic pulmonary disease and 14 patients with rheunatic heart valve disease were examined by transthoracic echocardiography; The technique of Omniplane transesophageal echocardiography was established. The structure and flow spectrum of pulmonary artery were examined by transesophageal echocardiography. The pulmonary artery flow spectrum of 9 patients (18 cases) with rheumatic heart valve disease were studied on feasibility by intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography. Pulmonary artery flow spectrum was compared between pulmonary hypertensive and normal subjects, compared with pulmonary artery pressure by catheter simultaneously or among 24 hours.
