The Thl/Th2 subsets imbalance are involved in pathogenesis of the diseases, determination of Thl/Th2 status may be helpeful to elucidate their pathogenesis and to make way in immune prevention and treatment. At present, it has been well accepted that Crohn's disease is Th1-predominant, whereas in UC has not been determined.
