Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate left ventricular function using Doppler tissue imaging in patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomypathy (HCM). The aim of this study was to determine the clinical application of Doppler flow imaging of pulmonary vein in assessing left ventricular diastolic function in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This study was performed to identify diastolic dysfunction of pseudonormal pattern of left ventricular in hypertrophic cardiomypathy by Doppler tissue imaging. This study assessed local function of left ventricle in patients with hypertrophic cardiomypathy by Doppler tissue imaging. This study was performed to evaluate left ventricular function in patients with obstructive and non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomypathy and to evaluate the effect of gradient pressure of left ventricular outflow tract on left ventricular function, whether left ventricular outflow tract obstruction had an effect on cardiac inflow in patients with hypertrophic cardiomypathy. Methods: The peak velocities of mitral annulus during the systole (Sa), early phase of diastole (Ea), the late phase of diastole (Aa) and Ea/Aa ratio were measured by DTI pulsed wave Mode using the apical window at 4-chamber, 2-chamber and long apical views in HCM patients and normal group. The velocities of mitral annulus in HCM were compared with that of normal group. Patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy were divided into three groups: delayed relaxation, pseudonormal...
