ObjectiveTo get dynamic observation of the functional and histopathological changes of vital organs from macaques with intestinal ischemia reperfusion (IIR) and the effect of SST on it. Materials and Methods1.animal preparation: We used macaques obtained from ChengDu safari park (ChengDu, china). Before use, animals were held in quarantine at the primate facility for more than 3 months. The animals were confirmed to be tuberculin nonreactive three times over a 6-week period. All animals were divided into three groups: normal control group, IIR group and SST group (table 1). 12h before introduction of anesthesia for the experiment, animals were housed individually under a 12:12 hour light-dark cycle with fasting and norestriction of water access. These facilities are maintained at a constant 20~22℃ condition. The animals were anesthetized with intramuscular xylazine compound (The military veterinary institute, quartermaster university of PLA, Changchun, China) at a dose of 0.06~0.24ml/kg, followed with intravenous administration of diazepam at a dose of 0.16±0.09mg/kg/h. After asepsis and antisepsis were completed, A 5-cm vertical median incision at the epigastrium was made. Blood about 20% of initial blood volume removed [removed blood volume( ml)=weight(g) × 5%] from inferior caval...
