Background and purpose:The pathological basis of type 2 diabetes(T2DM) complicated with coronary heart disease(CHD) is atherosclerosis, which precipitates myocardial infarction. The morbidity and mortality of CHD in diabetes mellitus are much higher.Many researches suggested that oxLDL played an important role in the formation and development of atherosclerosis. PON1 can protect LDL from being oxidized and thus delay the development of atherosclerosis. In this study, we used coronary angiography to investigate characteristics of coronary pathological changes and P0N1 and oxLDL activities, and try to establish the relationships between them in patients with CHD complicated with T2DM and with impaired fasting glucose(IFG).
