This study consists of two parts. In the first part, a heat—curing and a visible hight-curing soft denture liners have been developed. Their adhesion to denture base material (PMMA) are also investigated. In the development of the heat-curing soft denture liner, the effect of rubber matrix, the load of fused silia, softener and cross-linking agent on the tensile strength, compression set and Shore A hardness of the liner were studies. The results showed that the Soft denture liner made of methyl vinyl polysiloxane rubber possessed lower shore A hardness, compression set and tensile strength. Fluaorosilicone rubber denture liner demonstrated higher tensile strengh and higher Shore A hardness. The soft denture liner made of the mixture of methyl vinyl polysiloxane rubber and fluoorosilicone rubber exhibited higher tensile strength and lower Shore A hardness. The load of fused silica had a significant influence on the mechanical properties of soft denture liner, with the increase of silica, the tensile strength, compression set and Shore A hardness of soft denture liner also increased. Softener also had effect on the mechanical properties of soft denture liner, with the increase of load of softener, the Shore A hardness decreased while the tensile strength increased, but the tensile strength began to fall when the softener was more than 15%. Cores-linking agent was another factor affecting the mechanical properties of...
