The five-viscera-related theory is proposed by professor Deng Tietao, an eminentTCM physician, which stresses the inter-promotive and inter-inhibitory relationshipbetween the solid and hollow organs, human body and natural environment, and so on. It isconsidered that five-viscera-related theory comes from five-element theory but is differentfrom five-element theory and has been developing continuously. In this study, we try tostudy on three parts: first, study on the theory of the five-viscera-related; second, study onthe therapy of the integrated TCM and western medicine for MGC on clinic; last, study onthe treatment of message and acupuncture for special MG patients. This theory iselucidated through the treatment of coronary heart disease, hypertension, myasthenia gravis(MG), chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis. It is believed that this theory can be used toguide clinical practice and then enhance the clinical efficacy, including some stubborndiseases.1.Literature and Theory ResearchThrough the ancient literature review research, we think the five-viscera-related theoryapproximately experienced four stages which has laid a foundation, germinates, formation,consummates and has formed a set of more perfect theory system possessing theories,therapies, prescriptions and herbs. It is considered that five-viscera-related theory comesfrom five-element theory. Before the Ch'in period, Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)theory were formed, in which the five-element theory was formed and became very popular.With the developing of ancient philosophy and the threatment of diseases, the five-elementtheory became more and more limited, so there were many doctors who began to use thefive-viscera-related theory replaced the five-element theory, which became more and moreimportant to treating patients. Until now, professor Deng Tietao make it become a veryexcellent theory system. 2.Study on the therapy with Message, Acupuncture and drugs for specialMG2.1 The development of TCM treating MG patients is elucidated through reviewingthe pathogeny, treatment and so on.2.2 Study on the relationship between MG and basic theory of TCM, including thetherapy of yin and yang, the five-viscera-related theory, the theory of meridian and so on.2.3 Study on the experience and significance about how to treat MG with the TCM.2.4 It is more elucidated to the basic theory and significance of treating MG bymessage and acupuncture.3. Clinic Research Study on the therapy with Message, Acupuncture anddrugs For special MGObject: Choose 31 cases of patients with MG, which got the therapy in No.1 AffiliatedHospital of Guangzhou university of TCM., from September 2006 to March 2007, somepatients come from in-patient department, the others come from out-patient department ofdigestive internal department. There are 20 male cases and 11 female cases.Method: On the basis of five-viscera-related theory and the pathogenesis of spleenqi-deficiency and zhong qi-deficiency of MG, this article presented and analyzed professorDeng's diagnostic and treatment experience of MG by "Message and Acupuncture". Thestudy was designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and applying method of message andacupuncture therapy in treating the out-patients with myasthenia gravis(MG).Methods fromSeptember 2006 to December 2006, thirty-first myasthenic patients treated with West andTCM therapy had been followed up to study the efficacy, side-effects, and dependence. Theinfluences of clinical types, Blood laboratory test, duration of therapy, and theaccompanying disorders on efficacy had been analysed.Results: During a mean follow-up of nearly 60 days, the total effectiveness rate was 96.8%,and the efficacy had relations with the clinical types, WBC RBC PLT(laboratory test),duration of the therapy, and the accompanying disorders. The efficacy had not relationswith HGB (blood test).Conclusions: (1) Message and Acupuncture could be applied to the treatment of all types ofMG. The children and adult sufferers could benefit from the therapy equally. (2) Messageand Acupuncture maybe improve immunity system of patients, but the reason is not sureand needed to evidence in the future. There is significant to compare before and later ofgetting the therapy, including PLT, WBC, RBC, except HGB. (P＜0.05). (3) A long-term therapy of Message and Acupuncture in treating the patients with MG is effective. Aftergetting the treatment to compare with before and late, we get it that late 10days, 30days,60days, patients' symptoms become easy and effective is very obviously except 20days.(P＜0.05) The discrepancy is extremely remarkable.There are many MG patients who accompany with different symptoms includinginsomnia, mask face, jerkiness and so on. After Message and Acupuncture treating thesepatients, these symptoms become relieve and the patients feel better than before. So thetherapy integrated message, acupuncture and taking drugs, including western medicine andTCM medicine is effective to MG patients.4. ConclusionsMain aim of the thesis is studying and analyzing the five-viscera-related theory ofProfessor Deng Tietao, through the ancient literature review research. Thefive-viscera-related theory of TCM comes from the five-element theory. In TCM's history,there were a lot of doctors who explained and developed the five-element theory, but thesestudy is merely developed around nature philosophy, maybe it is difficult to break throughand get more developing. Professor Deng inherited the excellent knowledge, removedundeveloped things, added to modern dialectic system content, and created "thefive-viscera-related theory", which is important development of the five-element theory.The five-viscera-related theory stresses the inter-promotive and inter-inhibitoryrelationship between the solid and hollow organs, human body and natural environment,and so on. Thepatients' mental care is still important to cure the disease. TCM therapy is very easy andcheaper for patients. After treatment, there are some parts of patients who have strongerimmunity and resistant power, and psychosis feel very well.
