The recent main concerns of governments, policymakers, entrepreneurs,non-government organizations (NGOs) are how best to promote the development ofsmall and medium enterprises. After the global financial crisis the governments ofboth developing and developed countries have increased their interests in theimportance and role of small and medium enterprises. Creating jobs becomes themain concern of each country as the needs of their population in term of employmentare growing at an exponential rate. At the same time, the commercial exchangebetween countries has also increased in a phenomenal rate. Economic relationsbetween countries have become the first attention of national governments and aremostly based on SMEs cooperation.There are linkages between SMEs, international cooperation, trade, job creationand the economic development of any country around the world. Most of the biggestexporters in the world are relied on their SMEs performance both in national andinternational market. Much has been written about the pivotal role of SMEs in theeconomic development of countries. There is no doubt that well established SMEscan become the engine of social and economic development. In2010, SMEs inChina reach a number of449130small enterprises and account for99.17%while inAfrican countries SMEs account for about50%of job creation and it is estimatedthat a third of the GDP originates from the SME sector.Micro and Small enterprises (MSEs) play a big role in the developing countries.In the last two decades CHINA has established its economic growth anddevelopment on the SMEs. Based on the competitive model, the SMEs have inspiredmany developing countries especially African countries and may guide them for asustainable development. At the same time, China presence in African economicspace has risen. Chinese economic influence has been particularly dominant. It isestimated that80%of the Chinese companies currently operating in Africa areSMEs.In this condition, China and Africa have established for many years a sincererelationship based on the economic development of both side such as improve the business, promote technology transfers, industrial innovations and improveenterprise level investments and productivity in SMEs.It is well known that many African countries SMEs faced numerous obstaclesand governments of these countries are unable to effectively support the creation andpromotion of SMEs. At the same time, China has established and promoted a goodenvironment for SMEs development and the country is one of the fastest economyduring the last decade.This paper aims to analyze the business environment between China and Africa(my country) especially how to promote an enterprise culture in my countryfollowing the example of Chinese SMEs. In this research our attention will befocused on China Africa trade (TOGO precisely) especially the contribution ofChinese small-medium enterprises in the local economic growth as a great exampleof a successful response to the job creation and self-employment. This study is anapproach to understand the process of the Chinese MSEs success as a model ofeconomic growth and development through the international trade between CHINAandAFRICAThe thesis is presented in a theoretical view in the first part while the secondpart provides accuracy data about the trade relation between China and Africa(Togo).
