As the professional industry sector to convert potash resource toproduct, thepotashindustrybearsthehardburdentoprovidefertilizerforagricultureandpotassiumproductforsocialdevelopment.Beingthepopulousandagriculturenation, China has a huge demand for the potash product. In order to providebasisandcontentbackforthetop‐leveldesignanddevelopmentplanofChinesepotashindustry,thisthesiswillconducttheresearchontheenvironmentalandstrategy development of potash industry in China, based on the systematicalsummaryofglobalpotashresourcedistributionandoccurrencecharacteristics,resourcepropertiesandminingtechnology,comparativestudyandquantitativeanalysis of capacity of mineral security, development environment,competitiveness,operatingperformanceofenterpriseandImport‐exporttrade,toproposethedevelopmentframeandtargetofChinesepotashindustry.Thisthesisclarifiestheproperty,structureandassociationrelationshipofpotashindustry and believes it is a professional industry sector to convert potashresourcetoproduct.Asthesecondaryindustrywiththecompositionofmining,beneficiationandprocessing,thepotashindustryupwardrelatewithgeologicalprospecting in tertiary industry and downward relate with agriculture inprimary industry and chemical raw material and production in the secondaryindustry.Thepotashresourcepropertyissystematicallysummarized,whichindicatestheimportant role of soluble mineral, such as sylvite, kainite, carnallite andlangbeinite, for the potash industry development. It also stress the potashresourceinChinaisshortsupplyandthequalityispoor.Theresearchfindsthatthroughthedifficultdevelopmentinhalfacentury,theChinese potash industry has possessed the relative technology advantage toutilize massive of low grade and hard treatment mineral, which raise theutilizationefficiencyandguaranteeofresource.Byapplyingthemethodoftimeseriesanalysisineconometrics,thefeatureandinfluencefactorof import‐export trade are studied. It reveals the negativecorrelationbetweentheimportpriceandvolumeofpotashfertilizerandbelievestheincreasingimportpriceisthemainreasonofcausingthedecreaseofimportvolume.Thecomprehensivesupportingcapacity,industrydevelopmentenvironmentandoperationperformanceofenterpriseinChinaandworldwidelyarecomparativestudiedbyadoptingthemulti‐targetquantitativeanalysismethod.TheresearchfindstheglobalcomprehensivesupportingcapacityisstrongbutweakinChina.ThedevelopmentenvironmentofpotashindustryinChinaispreferableandthecomprehensive performance of enterprise good, but the comprehensivecompetitivenessisweak.Thisthesissuggeststhedevelopmentideasand“1234566”targetforthepotashindustry.Thedevelopmentideameanstheinthebackgroundofpotashresourceand guided by the market, government should dominate the development ofindustry and evaluate from the aspect of revenue of enterprise. The 1234566target shows to increase 10 million tones of soluble and recoverable potashreserveseveryyear,tobuild2~3largescalepotashindustrialbases,todevelop3~4largeandkeyenterpriseswithmorethan1.5milliontonesofcapacity,toform the product structure with potassium chloride, potassium sulfate andpatentkali fertilizer as primary and long‐acting slow‐release and new type ofcompoundfertilizerassupplementary,tocontrolthepotashcapacityin6milliontones,tomaintaintheself‐sufficiencyrateataround60%.
