Research And Application On Epc Total Contract Model Of Chemical Industry Ministry’s Changsha Design Institution In National Investment Lop Nur Potash Project

Under contract, the design institution, as general contractor, is the body of the EPC general contracting project management mode, and provide integrated services, including project designing, equipment purchasing, project construction and project trial operation, and entirely take charge for project quality, cost, time limit. In recent years, a part of domestic large engineering enterprise is underway to try and explore the EPC contracting model. As a new choice to realize engineering companies integration with the world, EPC is gradually accepted by project owner and approved by market, will certainly become an important construction contracting mode in future.The research methods, used in this paper, include field investigation method, expert visiting method, and the combination of comparative analysis and empirical analysis method. The research content of this thesis mainly includes five parts.In the first part, the research background, research purpose, research significance, research methods and thesis framework are introduced;In the second part, the related basic concepts of EPC project management model are discussed. Firstly, the characteristics, advantages, disadvantages, and applicable scope of several kinds of project contracting management model are analyzed comparatively, then the connotation, the features, the applicable objects, the organization structure, the core elements and the contract risks of EPC general contracting mode are explained.In the third part, national investment Lop nur potash project are summarized. The application conditions of EPC general contracting, basic situation, management mode, and organization structure of this project are expounded and analyzed.In the fourth part, the four safeguard measures and the risk measures of project management in the process of Lop nur potash project implementation are explored. In the fifth part, combined with potassium development investment, the comprehensive effect of EPC’s application is summarized, and the problems of EPC application in the chemical changsha design institute is analyzed, then the corresponding countermeasures are proposed.The development strategic target of Ministry of Chemical Industry’s Changsha Design Institution is to construct itself to be an internationally competitive engineering company.
