Environment not only is the foundation of enterprises’survival anddevelopment, but also is an important source of enterprises’information resources.Inbig data era,the uncertainty of business environment is increasing,so firms are lookingfor new ways to achieve innovation. With business environment rapidly changing, themetabolism of data, information, knowledge and product speeds up,knowledgeinnovation become the key factor in firms’lasting competitive advantage. How toeffectively identify and analyze threats and opportunities, to find and solve problemsas soon as possible, and realize the knowledge innovation is an emergency problem tobe solved. However, scanning environmental systematically can help firms identifyand obtain useful information timely, and keep pace with market environmentchange, which is helpful to make effective innovation decision. In a dynamic businessenvironment, firms have the strong organization ability can adapt to the fast changingenvironment, can adjust the innovation or resources to ahead of the competitors, andgrasp the best opportunity of innovation, which is the foundation for improvinginnovation performance. How Environmental scanning affect firms knowledgeinnovation? What is the relationship among environmental uncertainty, environmentalscanning, organizational learning and knowledge innovation? These are the problemsto be solved in this study,in order to solve the above problems, the author made thefollowing work.First, the study makes clear the research background, puts forward the researchquestions of this study, and analyzes the significance of the research. The studysummarizes and reviews the related studies of environmental uncertainty, environmental scanning, organizational learning and knowledge innovation, based onwhich the ruthor discovers the limitation of the related studies.Second, the study reviews the related literatures.First of all,on the basis ofexisting researchs, this paper defines environmental uncertainty, environmentalscanning, organizational learning and knowledge innovation, and differentiates thesimilar concepts, which is an important premise of the research.Secondly, the study classifies and summaries the related literatures from the different perspective, whichmakes the research question, the framework and the model more clearly,in order toprovide references for scholars in related field.Third, this paper puts forward the research hypothesis, and constructs thetheoretical model.First of all,on the basis of related research, this study divides thefirms’environment into customer environment, supplier environment, competitionenvironment, internal environment, technology environment, political, economic, socialand cultural environment.Second, this paper presents dimensions of environmentaluncertainty, environmental scanning, organizational learning and knowledgeinnovation, and puts forward the dimensions in this study.Again, based on relatedresearch results, this paper puts forward20research hypothesis. Finally, the studybuilds the theoretical model of environmental scanning influence on enterpriseknowledge innovation according to the research of the above assumptions.Fourth, the study narrates the design process of this study.First of all, this paperintroduces the research methods of structural equation model and research tools suchas EXCEL2007,SPSS13.0and LISREL8.70.Secondly, the study states the process ofrespondents determination and questionnaire design in detail, which includs the designof scale, the formation of formal questionnaire, etc.Again, based on combing theexisting measurements of the related studies, this paper designs measure scale of eachvariable in this study. Finally, the study states the process of data collection and sampleselection, and determines the363valid questionnaires. Also, the paper analyses thebasic characteristics363questionnaires,and test is conducted on a questionnaireresponse deviation.Fifth, the data analysis and model test is operated in this paper.First of all, thedescriptive statistical analysis for the363questionnaires is conducted, which finds that57variable is normally distributed, the mean and variance in good condition.Secondly,Pearson correlation test is carried out for the data, which finds that the relationship ofvariables meets the requirements.Again, the exploratory factor analysis andconfirmatory factor analysis indicates that the scale has good validity. Finally, with thehelp of LISREL8.70software,the paper test the fitting of the model, carrys out the test on the path coefficient between the variables, and builds a graph of standardized pathcoefficient.Sixth, the author analyses and discussses the empirical results of this study.Firstof all,the paper analyzes the critical path in the model, and discusses its practicalmeaning in-depth.Secondly,according to the empirical results of this study, the paperputs forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Seventh, the author summarizes the research.First of all,the main researchconclusions of this study are given, management implications are put forward forfirms.Second, the main innovation point of this study are stated, and the practicalsignificance of these innovation sare expounded. Finally, research limitations areanalyzed and the future research direction are pointed out objectively. This study puts nine variable of perceived environment importance, perceivedenvironment complexity, perceived environment variability, environmental scanningscope, environmental scanning frequency, environmental scanning interest, organizational learning capability, knowledge innovation capability and knowledgeinnovation performance into an unified framework creatively, and carrys on theempirical research of the relationship between the variables. The main researchconclusions are draw as follow:(1)The perceived environmental uncertainty (importance, complexity, variability)has significant effects on firms’s environmental scanning (scope, frequency, interest),organizational learning ability, knowledge innovation ability and performance.(2)The scope of environmental scanning has significant positive influence onthe knowledge innovation capacity, the frequency of environmental scanning hassignificant positive influence on knowledge innovation capacity and performance, theinfluence of environmental scanning interest is not significant;the scope, frequencyand interest of environmental scanning have significant influence on organizationallearning capacity.(3)The organizational learning capability not only has direct impact onknowledge innovation ability, also plays a significant intermediary role in the processof the environmental scanning (importance, complexity, variability) affect the ability of the knowledge innovation capability. This study not only provides theoretical basis for the subsequent related scholars, but also offers references for firms’ environmental scanning and knowledgeinnovation practice.
