With the development of society, socai problems appear accordingly. The appereance of social problems cause managers and scholars begin to think how to solve these problems through social responsibility projects. Partnership among multiple organizations is an effective way to solve social problems. However, the objectives of partners may be different, so oppotunims may exist in partnership. To better achieve the objectives of social responsibility partnership projects and prevent opportunism, scholars begin to concern partners’relational manangement mechanism in social responsibility partnership projects. However, existing researches in this field are not careful enough. This research discusses following issues through case study on social responsibility partnership project. The first is how to effectively supervise social responsibility partnership projects. The second is how institutional distance affects partnership relational management mechanism. The third is how the internal factors of partnership relantional management mechanism affect each other. The fourth is how partnership relational management mechanism affects project performance.This research has following conclusions. First, in the supervision of social responsibility partnership projects, donator should consist of multiple participators who are complementary in capabilities and can restraint each other. Second, participators of donator should play different roles in different stages of social responsibility partnership project. These roles evolve with the advance of project implementation. Third, in the context of cross-border partnership of social responsibility project, institutional distance between partners can obviously affect the match of partners. When the institutional distance between partners is large, the difference of ideas, capabilities and working method between partners will be great, which negatively affect project performance. Fourth, in the context of cross-border partnership of social responsibility project, the institutional distance between partners affect the construction of partnership relational management mechanism and then affect the project performance. Fifth, in the context of cross-border partnership of social responsibility project, the institutional distance between partners obviously affects management level of relational management mechanism.This research combines supervision theory, institution thory and social responsibility partnership theory to make up the lack of research in partnership management mechanism of social responsibility partnership project. This research enriches and develops the theory of supervision, institution and social responsibitliy partnership. This research indicates that effective supervision and relational management mechanism should be made to guarantee the performance of social responsibility partnership project, because it can restraint the behavior of partners to achieve the objectives of projects.
