Manufacturing software is a type of software, which is to solve the problems of the product quality, production efficiency and production cost directed towards the characteristics of production technology and business operation and future development of industrial enterprises. With putting forward of German Industry4.0Strategies and Chinese manufacturing2025,As the biggest manufacturing coutry in the world,China will enter into the the world’s manufacturing power in2035.So, there will be good market prospect about manufacturing software for manufacturing enterprise in the future.Thus,the far much higher risk management of such kind of software project than generals ones is resulted from the complexity of its requirements, organizational environment, users, technology and other factors. Therefore, how to identify, assess and control risks of manufacturing software, how to lower the frequency of risk occurrence and reduce losses caused by risk are seriously pending problems. Based on the analysis of the existing research of project risk management, focusing on the latest practices of manufacturing software project, this paper has made a systematical researche on the problems of identification and assessment and control of risk management. The main works are as follows:Firstly, in connection with predecessors’ research and project practice, the risk formation machanism is thus putting forward based on the analysis of the root cause of software project risk, in terms of complexity of the project, limitation of the human cognition, uncertainty of the process of production and environment and differences of project stakeholders.Secondly, through former literature research results and interviews, the corresponding research hypotheses of potential manufacturing software project risk will be put forward, and its key risk factors will be confirmed on the basis of questionnaire survey, factor analysis and regression analysis.Thirdly, based on the aforesaid key risk factors identification, The integrated use of risk matrix, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods and Borda sequence value method, risk assessment model about manufacturing software project will be established to evaluate the risk factors of manufacturing software projects and the whole risk as well, and to provide empirical explanation.Fourthly, on the basis of the establishment of risk control plan, by use of thought and method of extension planning, depending on the limited funds the optimization model of risk response measures will be made, algorithm of the model will be developed and analysis of examples will also be given on how to optimally select risk response actions.The main results as follows in this paper:Firstly,the identifying ways of risk of manufacturing software project was put forward,and the key risk factors about the kind of software was confirmed by using the ways.Secondly, the risk assessment model about the risk factors and the whole risk of was built.Thirdly,the risk control model in the risk response and corresponding algorithm were built,and the risk control about the kind of project was preliminary realized.
