The concept of smart city gives an excellent resolution to construct and develop of our city, which also makes new demands on infrastructure construction. How to build a safety, stability, and high efficiency public transportation system becomes an important topic in the process of city construction. In the backgrounds of smart city, The thorough perception for our city brings massive empirical data, as the applying of logistics network, cloud computation and large data mining, it is produced a variety of interrelated relationships between more and more basic elements. The data provide convenience for our study. However, so far the study of transportation networkmainly focuses on the single and static network or graph, for example, thebus network and subway network. The related study isshort and a lot of academic problems need to be further solved about the whole, dynamics transportation network system and its evolution.In my thesis, we study the structural and robustness properties about the transportation network and its sub network. It is based on complex network theory. I begin my thesis with a study of a single network model; we divide the transportation network into bus network and subway network, and put forward a new Fitness Model to descript the dynamics degree distribution based on data obtained from the 18 cities at home and abroad(Including selected cities by Construction Ministry of PRC and smart cities building abroad). Empirical study results show that our model can effectively describe and explain the dynamic characteristics of the network. We also present the characteristics of traffic network based on community structure model, and empirical study results show that the model can describe and explain the characteristics of network community. We also study the correlations between bus network and subwaynetwork;empirical study results show thatthe nodes havepositive correlative property. At last, we put forward a complementary network model to study the relevance and complementarity between bus network and subway network. In our model, we consider about the parallel edges and the nature of clusters. Percolation leads to an elegant theory of understanding structural and robustness of networks. We put forward a new numerical method to determine the stability of our system. The results show that the mutual supplement of network can improve the robustness of the network. This can provide a theoretical basis for the construction of city public traffic network, and it also supports reasonable operation of managing smart cities.Theoretical and Empirical Study in our work Enrich and consummate the related theory among smart city, complex network theory and statistical physics. It is provided a new method for empirical research on complex networks using the multi perspective. Our work has important guiding significance for planning and construction our public transportation network.
