The mining area of North Anhui is the most important coal base of Anhui Province and East China. Mine water invasion is one of the main disasters in the the mining area. Once this disaster occurrs, the most important task is to distinguish the source of the water invasion quickly and exactly. The study was to take the main water invasion aquifer circulation system in the mining area of North Anhui as the study object.In this study, the sampling dots were disposed on the area of 30000km2 in the mining area of North Anhui, and each aquifer water sample was acquired timely by using a tailor-made long-hole sampler. By testing the ions and elements in quantities of water samples and analyzing the acquired data, exploring the hydrogeochemistry characteristics of the routine hydrochemistry, minor elements and environment isotopes of the underground water, and also developing many genesis models of each water invasion aquifer. The author obtains the following main achievements:(1) The author tested the routine hydrochemistry elements(Ca2+, Mg2+, K+, Na+, SO42-,Cl-,HCO3-, pH,total dissolved solid, conductance ratio and total rigidity) of the water of each aquifer underground water, analyzed the distriuting characteristics of the routine hydrochemistry elements, adopted the distributing rules about the total dissolved solid, simulated each aquifer water quality concentration gradient field in the mining area of North Anhui, explored the water circulation characteristics of each aquifer underground water and studied the conditions of the recharge, runoff, drainage and stagnant of each aquifer underground water. According to the hydrochemical balance characteristics of the Ca2+ in the Karstic water, the systematical research was done in the water circulation characteristics of underground water in Taiyuan limestone aquifer and Ordovician limestone aquifer in the mining area.
