Taiyuan Xishan coal area is one of the important coal resource bases in our country, in which the coal is rich in deposition and high in quality and the history of mining is very long. It plays a very important role in continuous steady development of Shanxi economy. However, a large scale of mining underground coal resource contaminated the water resource. It not only increases the conflict of water shortage and pollutes seriously water environment, but also influences the ecology environment of Xishan coal area. So it has very important reality meaning for researching the effect onwater resource of coal mining, especially the effect on the underground water flow regime.The paper states the condition of areal geology and hydrology geology, and illuminates the current situation in which coal exploitation destroyed water resource in Xishan coal zone. The author analyzed the principle that coal mining destroyed water resource and deems the destructive scope and destructive degree to which coal mining destroyed water resource are affected by many factors, such as the hydrology geological condition, the character of geological construction, the stages of coal mining.Through the work discussed above, combined the research of the precursor, paper applied a numeric finite element method of Galerkin to simulating underground water flow regime in Xishan area and the target layer of Ordovician carbonate terrain. Based on the need of the hydrology concept model, author builds math model of planar two-dimension filter of the Xishan aquifer of Ordovician carbonate terrain. With the math model author simulated two whole hydrology years. At last, after model identifying and correcting, it gave the forecast of the future changing trend of underground waterflow regime. The forecast revealed that after 15 years, with the exploiting of mine the down center of rock dissolved groundwater will be reach the vicinity to the north of Gujiao middle school, while the water head will descend 20 meter, the gradient of groundwater power will reduce, the speed will slow down.
