The research of metal coordination complexes and supramolecular is involved in many fields including Inorganic, organic, solid chemistry, and it is the integration of research with foundation and application. Recently, this area has become the advanced study of Inorganic chemistry, crystal chemistry and material chemistry in the international. The one, two, or three dimensional complexes can be constructed owning to the coordination structure of metal cation and the variety coordination mode of the organic ligands. The research of the structures and properties of these novel systems can not only rich the studies of the theory and experiment of the syntheses chemistry, but also further extend the application prospect in electronic, optics, magnetis, catalysis and biology simulation. The network structure of coordination polymer may be looked upon the combination of crunodes of ligand with each link numbers and metal cation. So the geometry conformation of ligand and coordination conformation of metal cation have important influence On the whole structure of coordination polymers. Therefore, when we construct the coordination, we should think firstly the geometry of ligand and the coordination orientation of metal cation. We select the chelated ligand such as 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2'-bipyridyl which possessing the N atom with strong coordinated ability and polycarboxylate ligand including 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid, 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid, benzene- 1,2,4,5-tetracarboxylic acid which possessing the O atoms. Two N atoms from the chelate ligand 1,10-phen may occupy two coordination positions of metal ions, thus the feasibility of coordination is counteracted at space, and it can be synthesized low dimensional or layer compound, and it is the foundation for chiral synthesis. 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid and benzene-1,2,4,5-tetracarboxylic both possess multicarboxyl, which have diversiform coordinated modes, so they may constructed the polymer with one, two or three dimensional struture. 1,4-Cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid possesses the cis- and trans-conformations. Thus, it can connect metal ions in different directions. Hence, it may be a goodivcandidate for the construction of chiral coordination polymers. We have synthesized eleven coordinated polymers with the several ligands above using conventionality and hydrothermal motheds: [{Cd(phen)2}2V4Oi2] 5H2O(1) , [Ni(phen)3]2[V4Oi2] ?17.5H2CK Mn2(phen)2(VO3)4(H2O)2 (3X [VOzCphenfc] ?6H2O (4),[(2,2' -bipy)2VV02](H2B03) ?3H2O (5 X [(C2Hj)4N]3[PMoi2O4o] (6), [Co2(phen)2(e,a-c/s-l,4-chdc)2(H2O)2]n (7) , [Ni2(phen)2(e,a-cw-l,4-chdc)2(H2O)2]n (8) [Zn2(phen)2(e, a-cis-1,4-chdc)2(H2O)2]n (9 ) [Co2(C,oH208)(C10H8N2)2(H20)6] <2H2O( 10)>Co2(2,6-DPC)2Co(H2O)5 '2H2O(ll)o In the structure of(3) There are two channels in this crystal structure. One is eight-member ring of MnVsC with diameter of 4.848 A; another is twelve-member ring of MifcV with diameter of 7.549 Ao In the structures of 7, 8 and 9, the 1,4-chdc ligand possesses only one kind of e,a-cw-conformation although there are both cis- and fra/w-conformations in the raw material. Two oxygen atoms of one carboxyl hi 1,4-chdc ligand and another oxygen atom of contraposition carboxyl link adjacent metal atoms into an infinite 1-D zigzag chain. And they both exhibit an infinite chiral chain-like structure with 2\ helices along the b axis. In addition, the right-handed and the left-handed chains are alternate.Up to now, thousands upon thousands coordinations have been synthesised and studied. Most of them have been apply to the fields of catalysis, enantiomer separation, chiral synthesis, electrical, conductivity, magnetism and photochemistry. Many chemists and material specialists are apply themselves to this field. It will make the biology engineering and the function material into vastitude development.
