Structured Conductive Polypyrrole / Polyaniline Synthesis - Structure - Asian Micro-phase State - The Conductive Properties Of The Relationship

Following the polyacetylene, two kinds of electronic conducting polymers polypyrrole(PPy) and polyaniline(PAn), have raised great interest in the world. The two polymers were studied in detail in this work which mainly included following five aspects:1. The Study on Chemical Oxidative PolymerizationAccording to the polymerization of pyrrole(Py) and micro-kinetic equation of dedoping process of dopant ions,a universal equation was proposed and the theoretic results were good in accord with the experiment.The variation of polymerization yield and PPy's conductivity with oxidant,solvent,polymerization temperature and time was investigated in oxidative polymerization of Py. The results showed: When the mol-ratio of monmer to oxidant reached or surpassed a characteristic value, the polymerization yield would be 100% ;otherwise the yield would be proportional to amount of oxidant;the higher polymerization temperature and oxidability of oxides,the lower conductivity of the polymer produced; if the medium was organic or acidic one (such as alcohol,THF,DMF,HCl and H₂SO₄), the conductivity of polymers and the polymerization yield would decrease;macromolecular medium (such as gelatin and PVA) could improve the conductivity of PPy without lowing the yield.2. The Study on PPy CompositeThe relationship between the composition and conductivity of PPy composite was discussed with the Sub-Cluster Statistic Theory. As a resullt, Sub-Cluster model was suggested to predict the possible relationship by two model parametres.The work was carried out on the blend modification of PPy with other polymers such as polyurethan,polychlorovinyl,chlorinated polyethylene etc. The conductivity and mechanical properties of the blends were carefully tested.
