Due to the advantages of simple and firm structure, low costs, wide speed range, excellent speed adjusting performance, low speed and high torque and ability of high fault-tolerance, switched reluctance motor has been one of the hot research issues in the field of actual electrical drive field. Along with the developing of the hybird electric vehicle, the switched reluctance starter and generator system in vehicles has got more attenion both at home and overseas. This dissertation focuses on the integrated simulation modele and experimental platform, starting control, generating control and power-assisted control of switched reluctance starter and generator system.The main works are generalized as follows.Switched reluctance motor drive system is a highly nonlinear system and it is hard to get accurate mathematical model for its impulse phase current and local saturation of iron core. The nonlinear simulation model is built by the wavelet neural network based on the electromagnetic characteristic datas of a switched reluctance motor by finite element method. The integrated simulation modele of the switched reluctance starter and generator system is set up by the nonlinear switched reluctance motor model all using simulink modules. And the integrated experimental platform is also built. The campare of the simulation and experiment results shows the veracity of the integrated simulation modele.The integrated simulation modele and experiment platform is the base of the performance optimization and control strategies test.Then the start performance of the switched reluctance starter and generator is researched. The engine start characteristic, start capability, start time, start methods and start dead zone of the vehicles are analysed firstly. The turn-on angle and turn-off angle of the main switch in the voltage PWM control are optimized by the maximal start torque and minimal start torque ripple. And the optimization turn-on angle and turn-off angle are given then. The self-adaptive fuzzy initial duty cycle of voltage PWM estimate means is put forword base on the analyse of the start performance effect with the initial duty cycle of voltage PWM. The start means realizes the soft start. The control strategies of the maximal start torque and minimal start torque ripple are designed by the sliding mode PI control. And the start system of the two control strategies is validated by the integrated simulation modele and experiment platform. The experiment results show the correctness of the start control. The generating performance of the switched reluctance starter and generator system is researched based on the vehicle generator performance requirements. The principle and the excitation means are analysed firstly and the pwoer converter main circuit with variable excitation method is put forword.Then the optimization turn-on angle and turn-off angle are given form the maximal generating output power and maximal generating output efficiency. The generating closed loop control is designed by the internal model PI control and single neuron PI control. Finally the voltage building, load disturbance, rotor speed change disturbance and winding resistance change of the generating system are test by the two control startegies with the only PI control based on the integrated simulation modele and experiment platform. The simulation and the experiment results verify the good performance and use entironment of the two control startegies.The power-assisted performance of the switched reluctance starter and generator system is researched lastly. Due to the changefully load torque and changefully given rotor speed, the power-assisted system introduces the auto disturbance rejection control.The basic principle of auto disturbance rejection control is presented and the rotor speed closed loop control of the power-assisted system based on the control is bring forward. Finally the voltage starting, load disturbance, model parameters change and rotor speed follow of the power-assisted system are test by the auto disturbance rejection control based on the integrated simulation modele and experiment platform. The simulation and the experiment results show the excellent performance of the auto disturbance rejection control.
