Steel Structures are widely used in the construction especially the high-riseand Super high-rise buildings due to its excellent anti seismic behavior.However local damage (even collapse)to the steel structure will be found whenit is struck by strong earthquake. Owing to a lack of the knowledge of damagemechanism of the steel structure under seismic loading. the current designcriterion and technical measures are not efficient enough to protect thestructures from being damaged by earthquake. So the analyses of responses ofdamage mechanism of steel structures under low cyclic loading are not only oftheoretical significance but also of practical impohance.Consdering the requirement of a large sum of money and the hard-to-getuniversal laws due to the limited amount of samples, the numericai modelmethod for calculations and analyses are efficiently used by the researchers andscholars in the world. The numerical model method includes a precise numeric-al model and the constitutive relations for materials. Based on the basic theoryof non linear finite element, the author of the paper set up the double non linearfinite element equation based on the updated Lagrange (U.L)for mutations forthe 8-node degenerate shell element and considering the nonlinear of geometryand the nonlinear of materials.
