The steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) structure is a new type of structure, which is developed rapidly in recent years. This structure has many advantages:higher bearing capacity, stronger stiffness, the better seismic behavoirs and the durability. The investigation of damage caused by earthquakes shows whether building collapse depends on the performance of columns in great part. The steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) columns as the main load-bearing components, which are complex and influenced by many factors, and to study the various parameters on the seismic behavoir of columns, we often need a lot of tests, the disadvantage is that requires a lot of manpower, funds, require a longer trial period and greater dispersion of test results and so on. If using the finite element software analysis, we can solve the problem better. In this paper, using large scale and general finite element software ANSYS to simulate the literature [26] in three steel strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) columns (the axial compression ratio is the same and the shear span ratio is different), are monotonic loading of the load displacement curve and the load under cyclic loading hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, and compared with the test results, good agreement. On the basis of simulation experiment on the two columns without making the numerical simulation (the shear span ratio is the same and the axial compression ratio is different). As used in this paper, the literature did not provide a monotonic loading of the load-displacement curve, Based on the ANSYS results of different shear span ratio and the axial compression ratio effect on the monotonic loading, analysis the components'laws of the peak load, initial stiffness and ultimate deformation, and get corresponding conclusions.Based on the hysteresis curves and skeleton curves obtained through ANSYS simulate and calculate equivalent viscous damping coefficients and stiffness attenuation coefficients.and according to these coefficients, get the influence laws of the different shear span ratio and the different axial compression ratio of the components, and get corresponding conclusions. The results show that:due to some extent the presence of steel to improve the brittleness characteristics of high strength and high performance concrete(HSHPC), The steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) columns showed good seismic performance. In the seismic performance guarantee given under the requirements of shear span ratio and the axial compression ratio value of reasonable proposals to guide the design and application of the steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) structures.
